DİETHANOLAMİNE (DEA)
Diethanolamine is commonly abbreviated as DEA or DEKA. Pure diethanolamine was a white solid at room temperature. Like other organic amines, diethanolamine is a weak base. DEA is water soluble due to its hydrophilic nature.
Diethanolamine is used in the production of anionic and nonionic surfactants. Diethanolamine is found in detergents and in the structure of car wash shampoos. Diethanolamine is used in rubber vulcanization triggers and corrosion inhibitors. Diethanolamine is used for latex photo developers and in the production of photographic chemicals. Diethanolamine acts as a neutralizing agent and corrosion inhibitor in wax removers.
